Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: Funding is included in the FY 2007-08 Proposed Budget for the Alcohol and Drug Treatment Program. There is no net County cost.

Background: The Public Health Department receives funding through a mulit-year agreement with the State to provide alcohol and drug treatment prevention services. Funding is then contracted out to local agencies to provide treatment to El Dorado County residents who seek these services. The attached Treatment Provider agreements with EDCA Lifeskills ($56,564), New Morning Youth & Family Services ($51,050), Progress House ($231,126), and Sierra Recovery Center ($69,249) reflect funding for FY 2007-08.

These contracts are for a limited, six-month term, as opposed to a full one-year term. Public Health, Mental Health, and Human Services are working together to develop a uniform fee schedule, which will replace the proprietary fee schedules found in these agreements. A new fee schedule is expected to be finalized within the next few months, at which time new contracts with these providers will be needed to reflect the change.
