Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: The term of the master grant agreement and associated MOUs is three years, totaling $117,477. In FY 07/08 Public Health is eligible to receive up to $39,159 in AIDS Program funding as follows: $21,659 for HIV Prevention and $17,500 for HIV/AIDS Surveillance.

Background: Each year, the State of California issues AIDS Program funding to California counties to continue their work preventing, counseling, testing, and tracking HIV/AIDS. El Dorado County has received funds to conduct these activities for the past several years. This year, Public Health received MOUs for HIV Prevention activities and HIV/AIDS surveillance, which will allow the Department to identify and offer services to County residents living with this disease. The documents presented here include a Master Grant, which describes the terms/conditions and reimbursement/reporting procedures, and individual MOUs for each of the programs being supported by the Grant.

The Master Grant Agreement and associated MOUs are retroactive to July 1, 2007 due late receipt of documents from the State. The Department received them on June 26, 2007 and processed them as quickly as possi...
