Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: There is no net cost to the County General Fund associated with this Amendment.

Reason for Recommendation:

On August 21, 2007, your Board approved Agreement for Services # 07-1504 with Blackburn Consulting. The purpose of this Amendment is to amend Article II, to extend the expiration date of December 28, 2007 to December 31, 2008; Article III, to add a new fee schedule (exhibit H) for the extended term of the Agreement; Article V, to clarify the requirements for Progress Reports, Article XVII, to change one of County's notices recipients, and Article L, to change County's Contract Administrator.

This Amendment is required due to the delay in receiving FEMA approval of the revision to the scope of work for the inclusion of the Mechanically Stabilized Embankment for the repair of the White Meadows Road slipout. FEMA has concurred with the cost effectiveness of the revision, but has chosen to re-assess the overall environmental consequences of the project revision, delaying the advancement of the project.
