Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
There is no fiscal impact associated with the extension of the term of Funding Agreement 07-1412 for one additional one year term. It is anticipated that the amount of $1,750 received originally under this Funding Agreement is adequate to cover the costs associated with the Creekside Drive Road Zone of Benefit until a permanent funding source is established. The term of the Funding Agreement is being extended to allow the County the flexibility to request additional funds from the Zone should it become necessary to do so prior to the time the funding source is established.

The purpose of the Agreement is to provide funding to the County for the administrative and miscellaneous costs associated with the administration of Zone of Benefit while a permanent revenue source in the form of a special tax or benefit assessment is established. The Zone was formed in 1985 and funded by a benefit assessement until 1988 when the Zone Advisory Committee recommended that the benefit assessment be set at zero. The fund balance carried since 1988 sustained Zone activities until last year when Funding Agreement 07-1412 was first executed.
