Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: Funding for the agreement is included in the Department's FY 2008-09 budget. No change to net County Cost.

Background: Sandra Dunn & Associates has been supporting the goals of the ACCEL Initiative by providing project management services for several years. During that time, significant progress has been made in the effort to establish an electronic health record and patient identifier system in El Dorado County. Sandra Dunn is working closely with Health Services Department staff in both the Public Health and Mental Health divisions, Barton Memorial Hospital, Marshall Medical Center, and the El Dorado Community Health Center to complete this project, while managing the various grants and funding sources to ensure continuation of this work.

Reason for Recommendation: The ACCEL Initiative project received an extension of the AHRQ grant, which will allows continuation of this important project for the community. Approval of this agreement will ensure ongoing project management services provided by Sandra Dunn & Associates. The term of the prior agreement (228-S0711) ended on December 31, 2008.
