Background: Alpine County has contracted with El Dorado County (EDC) for Preparedness Coordinator support services for several years. This MOU defines the activities and services to be provided by the Health Services Department Preparedness Program staff including, but not necessarily limited to, data collection, ensuring Alpine County staff participation in EDC Preparedness Program drills and activities, and development of reports to the State on behalf of Alpine County.

Reason for Recommendation: Approval of this Agreement will allow the Department to continue collaboration with Alpine County, and provide supportive services for the Alpine County Preparedness Program. The expiration date of this MOU is set at August 10, 2010 so that it is aligned with the termination date of Alpine County's Preparedness agreement with the State.
