Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: There is no Net County Cost associated with this Agreement. Funding for this contract is included in the Health Services Department's fiscal year 2011-12 budget and is funded by Realignment revenues.

Background: This Agreement for Services is a renewal with Sacramento County Public Health Laboratory to provide back-up laboratory services. These services are intended to primarily supplement our existing, limited laboratory staffing (presently one (1) fulltime employee) to cover instances of staff absence or the influx of unusually high workload, such as that which could occur during instances of outbreaks or other Public Health emergencies.

Compensation: County to pay Sacramento County within forty-five (45) days of receipt and approval of itemized invoices.

Termination: This Agreement contains the standard County clause allowing termination of the Agreement by County should the final adopted budget reduce or eliminate funding for this Agreement. In addition, the Agreement allows for termination by either party with thirty (30) days written notice.
