Health and Human Services Agency, Public Health Division, recommending the Board authorize the Chair to sign Amendment No. 2 to nonfinancial Agreement H11-00372TM with The Regents of the University of California, Davis Health System for the loan of Telehealth Equipment, with no change to the term of February 9, 2012 through June 30, 2013. Amendment No. 2 extends the maintenance support agreement for the adult detention facility in Placerville to June 9, 2014.

Background
The Regents of the University of California received a grant of Federal funds from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration in support of the University's "California Telehealth Network eHealth Broadband Adoption" program. The County, as a participating member of ACCEL, received three (3) Telehealth telemedicine units that are located as follows: one is in the medical treatment area at the adult detention facility in Placerville, one is at the juvenile detention facility in South Lake Tahoe, and one is at the juvenile detention facility in Placerville. During the term of the Agreement, the equipment is on loan to the County by U.C. Davis.
Reason for Recommendation
Upon the Agreement's termination on June 30, 2013, ownership of the telemedicine units will be transferred to the County. Two of the units (South Lake Tahoe and Placerville juvenile detention centers) have maintenance support agreements that expire February 21, 2014. UC Davis voluntarily extended the maintenance support agreement for the unit at the Placerville adult detention center through June 9, 2014, at no cost to the County. Approval of Amendment No. 2 to Agreement No. H11-00372TM acknowledges and accepts the extended maintenance support agreement for the Placerville adult detention center unit.
Action(s) to be taken following Board approval
1. Chair to sign two (2) original Amendment No. 2 to Agreement H11-00372TM;
2. Board Clerk's Office to return both signed original Agreements to HHSA Contracts Unit at 3057 Briw Road;
3. HHSA to submit all documents to the UC Davis for counter execution; and
4. Upon receipt of a fully executed original Amendment 1 from UC Davis, HHSA to forward same to the Board Clerk's Office.
