DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
Chief Administrative Office, Parks Division, recommending the Commission receive and file a presentation on two El Dorado Trail Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects:
a) CIP project 97014-El Dorado Trail Class I Bike Path, Missouri Flat Rd to El Dorado
b) CIP project 97015-El Dorado Trail Pedestrian Overcrossing (POC) at Missouri Flat Road
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
TheTransportation Division is currently funded and working on the planning, environmental and final design of these two projects. The Transportation Division anticipates having these projects ready to list for construction in 2019 and is seeking construction funding. The presentation byTransportation Division staff will provide updated information on the proposed projects and take comments. Also included in the presentation will be a focus on aesthetic options for the overcrossing structure and a status update on the planning and environmental process for the projects. County staff will discuss the project details and be available to answer questions.
Transportation Division staff will also hold an evening meeting on this same topic for those who could not attend the Park Commission meeting time. The meeting will be held Thursday, July 21, 2016, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors Meeting Room, 330 Fair Lane (Building A), Placerville, CA 95667.
