Supervisor Novasel recommending the Board authorize the Chair to sign a Certificate of Appreciation in honor of B Gorman retiring as Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce Executive Director.

B Gorman was hired as the first Executive Director for the newly formed Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce in 2006. And, in that decade, her efforts have expanded community and business participation that significantly improved Lake Tahoe's economic development, transportation, environment, leadership, marketing, government affairs, health and quality of life. B has raised the bar for the South Shore's proactive approaches to community connectivity, business retention, attraction and promotion with programs like employee recruitment and training, computer and social media workshops, legal seminars, comparator community successes, business and governmental communications and collaboration, environmental improvement awareness, transportation opportunities expansion, policy and lobbying, and special events that celebrate the community and its abundance.
The Lake Tahoe Basin, the South Shore, and the County of El Dorado have been well served by B Gorman and wish her well in her next great adventure. Thank you, B.
