DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
The District Attorney recommends the Board approve the use of FY 14/15 carry-over Indian Gaming funds for FY 15/16 salary and benefit expenses incurred for the investigations of crimes related to Indian Gaming and crimes that occurred on the Casino property.
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
In Fiscal Year (FY) 2014/15, the District Attorney’s annual report for the Indian Gaming Distribution Fund identified $49,802.57 of the grant award had not been expended by June 30, 2015 and would be carried over to FY 15/16 and used for salaries and benefits to investigate crimes related to Indian Gaming.
In FY 15/16, the District Attorney’s Office continued to provide a County Liaison for the purpose of investigating crimes related to Indian Gaming and crimes that occurred on the Casino property and has sufficient salary and benefit expenses to draw down the remaining grant award.
