Title

Supervisor Ranalli recommending the Board approve and authorize the Chair to sign a letter in support of the California Association of Resource Conservation District's application for Regional Conservation Partnership Program funds for a proposed program that will remove from private non-industrial forest lands hazardous trees that are the result of extreme drought conditions and the related bark beetle infestations.

Body

The California Association of Resource Conservation Districts (CARCD) has developed an application for Regional Conservation Partnership Program grant to fund the removal from private non-industrial forest lands the hazardous trees that are the result of extreme drought conditions and the related bark beetle infestation.

CARCD's proposal is consistent with the County's efforts to identify responsible resources and opportunities that will enable the County to address the tree mortality crisis that threatens infrastructure, roads, and public safety through the County of El Dorado and the Sierra Nevada Region.
