Title: Supervisor Frentzen recommending the Board consider and approve her participation as the co-chair on the topic of Innovation, Clean Energy & Advanced Manufacturing at the Capital Executive Leadership Mission in Washington, D.C. scheduled for March 12-15, 2017. Congresswoman Doris Matsui will be the host and City of Sacramento Mayor-Elect Darryl Steinberg will be the chair of this event that will involve business and labor executives who will meet with key federal agencies to advocate on behalf of the Sacramento region. The Clerk of the Board has confirmed there are sufficient appropriations in the department budget for registration and travel expenses estimated at $4,000. Although pre-approval is not required for Supvisorial travel, Supervisor Frentzen brings this item before the Board in the interest of transparency and to apprise the Board of her involvement in this regional effort. FUNDING: General Fund.
