DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION

Chief Administrative Office recommending the Board appoint an ad-hoc committee of two Board members to participate in the FENIX Executive Sponsor meetings as well as serve as champions supporting the FENIX implementation.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

Phase 1 of the FENIX project is scheduled to 'go-live' in October 2017.  As we get closer to the implementation date and begin the change management process, it is essential that the leadership of El Dorado County, including the Board of Supervisors, demonstrate their support of the project and their support of County employees who will be implementing these changes.

It is expected the ad-hoc committee of two Board members will attend the FENIX Executive Sponsor meetings with the Auditor Controller, District Attorney, Chief Administrative Officer and Director of Information Technology, as well as variety of meetings with department staff showing their support of the project as the FENIX system is implemented.
