Authorize the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute further documents relating to Agreement for Services 524-M1511, including amendments which do not increase the maximum dollar amount or term of the Agreement, contingent upon approval by County Counsel and Risk Management.
FUNDING: State Funds; Superior Court to reimburse Probation Department.

Probation Department recommending approval of Amendment I of Memorandum of Understanding No. 524-M1511 with the Superior Court of California, County of El Dorado, regarding Recidivism Reduction Fund Court Grant Program Pretrial Supervision Program for grant period of April 1, 2015 through April 30, 2018 in the amount of $384,041.00.
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Under the MOU, the El Dorado County Probation Department provides support to the Pretrial Program for the Superior Court of California, County of El Dorado, through a Deputy Probation Officer I/II staff that provides assessment, recommendations to the court, supervision, services and reporting. Supervision may include electronic monitoring, drug testing, and referral to community programs.
This MOU was originally approved by the Board on June 23, 2015 (item #45). This amendment will extend the agreement for one additional year.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
There will be no impact to net county cost. Superior Court of California, County of El Dorado, receives state funding for the implementation of a Pretrial Supervision Program pursuant to the Recidivism Reduction Fund Court Grant Program. The Deputy Probation Officer I/II position is limited term for the term of the agreement. Funding to offset the cost of the position and related expenses is included in the department's FY 2017-18 proposed budget and any adjustments will be addressed in the addenda process.

2. Return both originals to the Probation Department who will submit to the Superior Court of California for implementation.
