DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION

Surveyor's Office recommending the Board consent to and accept, two Irrevocable Offers of Dedication from the Visman Family Revocable Trust dated August 7, 1981 and Sierra View Ranch, a California General Partnership, for road right-of-way and public utility easements located on a portion of Assessor’s Parcels 048-160-40 and 048-080-53.

 

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

Surveyor's Office received an application for Irrevocable Offer of Dedication (IOD) 14-004 from Visman Family Revocable Trust dated August 7, 1981 and Sierra View Ranch, a California General Partnership, for two Irrevocable Offers of Dedication for road right-of-way and public utility easements, said easements are a portion of Assessor’s Parcel Numbers 048-160-40 and 048-080-53. Both offers were made at the request of the Community Development Agency, Transportation Division and will provide documented right of way along Carson Road.

 

ALTERNATIVES
An alternative would be to not sign the Consent To Offer Of Dedication And Acceptance Of Offer for either or both Irrevocable Offers of Dedication. By utilizing this alternative, the easement rights would not be secured.

 

OTHER DEPARTMENT / AGENCY INVOLVEMENT

The Community Development Agency, Transportation Division, has reviewed said IODs and supports the consent to, and acceptance of, these offers.

 

CAO RECOMMENDATION

 It is recommended that the Board approve this item.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

There is no fiscal impact associated with this item.

 

CLERK OF THE BOARD FOLLOW UP ACTIONS

1) The Clerk will obtain the Chair’s signature on the Consent To Offer Of Dedication And Acceptance Of Offer documents for both IODs.

2) The Clerk will record the IODs with the applicable Consent attached to the back of the documents.

3) The Clerk will return a copy of the recorded documents to the Surveyor’s Office.
