DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) recommending the Board approve and authorize the Chair to sign Agreement 077-F1811 with Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians for the term effective July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2022, to pay the County for prehospital Advanced Life Support (ALS) emergency medical services. Approval of this Agreement will ensure citizens visiting the Rancheria have access to ALS ambulance services in the event of a life-threatening situation.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians (Tribe) is the beneficiary of trust land entitled the Shingle Springs Rancheria, which is located within the geographical boundaries of El Dorado County. Historically, the Tribe has contracted with the County to provide prehospital ALS emergency services on tribal land, specifically within County Service Area No. 7, where the Rancheria is located, and the areas surrounding the Rancheria.
