During National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, those lost to prostate cancer are remembered by proclamation that also offers support to patients and their families, and highlights prevention, detection and treatment methods. Prostate Cancer Awareness Month is a method that encourages all citizens, government agencies, private businesses, non-profit organizations and other groups to join in activities that will increase awareness and prevention of prostate cancer.
