2) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign Agreement 281-F1811, replacing Agreement 072-F1711, with the El Dorado County Office of Education for the period of January 1, 2018 to June 30, 2020 for a 3-year term in the amount of $144,000 to provide funding for early literacy services to family child care providers throughout the county.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
On June 20, 2017, the Board approved Amendment 1 to Agreement #072-F1711 with First 5 El Dorado to increase the amount of the contract by $144,000 from $48,000 for a total amount not to exceed $192,000 and extend the term from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017 to July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2020 to provide Early Literacy services to family child care providers throughout the county.
On September 11, 2017, the First 5 El Dorado Commission approved the transfer of the fiscal agency for First 5 California IMPACT Grant Funding from the First 5 El Dorado Commission to the El Dorado County Office of Education (EDCOE).
On October 4, 2017, First 5 El Dorado Commission issued a contract termination notice to El Dorado County to terminate Agreement #072-F1711 effective December 31, 2017.
Agreement #281-F1811 with the El Dorado County Office of Education will continue the same scope of services and remaining funding and term of Agreement #072-F1711.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
No change to the budget. The FY 2017-18 Library budget includes this appropriation.
