Title

Department of Transportation recommending the Board adopt a Resolution 058-2012 accepting the 2011 revisions to the County of El Dorado Maintained Mileage System.

Body

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:

There is no fiscal impact related to this action; however, changes in the County Maintained Mileage System will impact the Department's future maintenance budgets.

Reason for Recommendation:

Updates to the County Maintained Mileage System and the Board of Supervisors Resolution adopting those updates are submitted by the Department of Transportation to the State of California each year, pursuant to the Streets and Highways Code, Section 941 and Section 2121.  In 2011, three (3) new roads were accepted into the Maintained Mileage System for a total of 0.96 miles and minor revisions and deletions increased the maintained mileage by 0.69 miles for an overall increase of 1.65 miles as detailed in Attachment A of the Resolution.

Action to be taken by the Department following Board approval:

1) Update the El Dorado County Maintained Mileage System records.

2) Submit the Board adopted Resolution to Caltrans for Mileage Certification and Map Revisions.
