Supervisor Santiago recommending Resolution supporting the 12th Annual Lake Tahoe Marathon to be held between September 25 and September 30, 2007, around Lake Tahoe and between Tahoe City and South Lake Tahoe from approximately 6:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on State Highway 89.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution 105-2007.

Caltrans requires local jurisdictions to recognize the traffic impediments that can occur in the operation of special events that utilize state routes and highways. In this case, the Sheriff's Department, California Highway Patrol, and the South Lake Tahoe Police Department participate in traffic control and supervision, and work directly with event coordinators to minimize impediments.
