Background:
The Promontory is a 999 acre AKT Promontory LLC residential development located in El Dorado HIlls, California, south of Green Valley Road and adjacent to Sacramento County. On June 24, 1999, the El Dorado County Planning Commission approved the following Condition/Mitigation regarding TM 98-1356 - The Promontory.
"ROADS - Item #2. Russell Ranch Road shall be constructed to an improved (total) interim width of 40' (two-lane roadway), consistent with the alignment and structural section of the ultimate facility. Construction from Green Valley Road to H3 Street shall occur with the first phase. Construction from H3 Street to E5 Street shall occur with any subsequent phase in Village Nos. 1, 3 or 5."
Reason for Recommendation:
At present, Sophia Parkway (formerly known as Russell Ranch Road) extends from The Promontory in El Dorado HIlls to connect with Empire Ranch Road within Empire Ranch in Folsom, California. The first phase of work on Sophia Parkway extended from Green Valley Road to the southerly boundary of The Promontory Village No. 1 and was associated with construction of The Promontory Collector Roads and Village No. 1...
