Reason for Recommendation:
The District Attorney's office has filed the FY 2007/2008 grant application for continuation of funding for the Auto Insurance Fraud program.
We have applied for new funding of $275,443, but do not expect to receive this amount. We will return to the Board with a follow-up agenda item, should the award be higher, to increase the budget above $50,000, once we receive the approved grant amount from the department of insurance.
