Reason for Recommendation:
A public utilities easement, as shown on Waterford, Unit No. 4, Lot 235 final map recorded in Book G of Subdivision Maps at Page 111, was irrevocably offered in perpetuity to the County of El Dorado and accepted by the Board of Supervisors in October of 1988.

An application has been submitted by Richard B. Berger and Jeannie E. Berger, requesting that the County of El Dorado Board of Supervisors vacate the public utilities easement located on the back property line of Lot 235, identified as Assessor’s Parcel Number 110-231-18. Said easement is more particularly described in Exhibit “A” and depicted in Exhibit “B” of the attached Resolution.

The subject property is located at 2126 Sheffield Drive, east of Francisco Drive and north of Green Valley Road, in El Dorado Hills. Said action is necessary to accommodate construction of improvements on the subject lot.

All utility companies that could be impacted by this vacation have provided the Department of Transportation with written notification that they have no facilities within the subject area and have no objection to the proposed abandonment. All other existing easements will remain. The Department of Transportation’s staff has reviewed the request and has no objection.
