TITLE
Sheriff's Department recommending Resolution authorizing the Sheriff to submit and execute a grant application on behalf of the County to the State of California Corrections Standards Authority Board for the Mentally Ill Offender Reduction Grant (MIOCR) Program in the amount of $700,000 for said Department.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution 006-2007.

Reason for Recommendation: On October 31,2006, Item #25 your Board approved the submission of the Mentally Ill Offender Crime Reduction Program (MIOCR). In that agenda item, it was noted that a resolution would be forthcoming upon acceptance of the grant.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Chairman will sign resolution for submission to the State.
