Background:
The proposed Cameron Park Drive/Oxford Road Intersection Signalization project is within the unincorporated area of El Dorado County, south of Green Valley Road and south of the Cameron Park Airport, in the Cameron Park area. The Department of Transportation performed a volume warrants analysis for turn pockets in accordance with the National Cooperative Highway Research Program Report 279. The intersection currently exceeds the minimum volumes that warrant construction of the left turn pockets and the installation of traffic signals. This project proposes installation of a traffic signal and turn lanes at the intersection in order to address traffic safety and intersection operations.

On June 20, 2006, your Board approved the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Mitigated Negative Declaration for the Project, and adopted the associated mitigation monitoring plan.

The above-referenced parcel is affected by the Cameron Park Drive/Oxford Road Intersection Signalization Project #72343. The parcel is located on the west side of Cameron Park Drive and the south side of Oxford Road. The project will widen both Cameron Park Drive and Oxford Road intersections and will include signalization of the intersection.
