Background:

Reason for Recommendation:
Public utilities easements, as shown on Serrano Village A - Unit 6 final map recorded in Book J of Subdivision Maps at Page 21, were irrevocably offered in perpetuity to the County of El Dorado and accepted by the Board of Supervisors in March of 2004.

An application has been submitted by Michael R. Cross and Kimberly E. Cross, requesting that the County of El Dorado Board of Supervisors vacate public utilities easements located on the side boundary lines of Lot 309, identified as Assessor’s Parcel Number 122-580-10. Said easements are more particularly described in Exhibit “A” and depicted in Exhibit “B” of the attached Resolution.

The subject property is located on Bevinger Drive, east of Silva Valley Parkway and north of U.S. Highway 50, in El Dorado Hills. Said action is necessary to accommodate construction of improvements on the subject lot.

All utility companies that could be impacted by this vacation have provided the Department of Transportation with written notification that they have no facilities within the subject areas and have no objection to the proposed abandonment. All other existing easements will remain. The Department of Transportation’s staff has reviewed the request and has no objection.
