Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
Amendment adds $765.00 to total contract amount. Amount will be charged to user departments based on a per device count. Departments affected are; DA, Probation, Sheriff's Office and DHS-Social Services.

Background:
Sacramento County Office of Computer and Information Technology (OCIT) maintains California Law Enforcement Telecommunications Systems (CLETS) and the Sacramanto County Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI/National Crime Information Center - NCIC) and the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). IT, on behalf of El Dorado County, contracts annually with Sacramento County OCIT to facilitate the access of criminal justice data systems for law enforcement and support departments including the Sheriff's Office, Probation, District Attorney and Human Services. IT administers this contract because we are responsible for managing the data transfer between the two agencies.


Reason for Recommendation:
OCIT has recently added a web front end to present data from several of their systems and are now charging a nominal fee for its use. This is a mandatory fee and cannot be avoided. It is necessary...
