Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: None.  The Department of Transportation has advised General Services that funds are available within their FY 2008/2009 budget.
 
Background: The Department of Transportation has been providing the temporary housing for the past 12 years.
 
Reason for Recommendation: During the snow season in the Tahoe area, the Department of Transportation frequently works around the clock to keep the roads plowed. To accommodate the snow crew working, it is necessary to provide housing for them. General Services has negotiated a lease for this purpose, commencing on December 1, 2008 and ending on March 31, 2009.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval: Board clerk will forward to General Services a fully executed original copy of Lease Agreement 355-L0911 for distribution and administration.
