Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
Subvention funding of $90,213 in included in the FY2008-2009 AQMD budget. No Change in Net County Cost.
Reason for Recommendation:
This request implements the Board's revenue requirement in the AQMD approved FY2008-2009 budget by authorizing the submittal of the application for continued Subvention funding. These funds are appropriated in the State of California Budget Act of 2008 and are distributed to local air districts in accordance with formulas established by the California Health and Safety Code.
Action to be taken following Board approval:
1. Board Clerk to provide certified copy of Board's action to the AQMD.
2. The Air Pollution Control Officer to submit FY2008-2009 Subvention funding application to the California Air Resources Board.
