The Sierra Nevada Adaptive Management Project (SNAMP) a joint effort by the University of California, state and federal agencies and the public to study management of public forest lands in the Sierra Nevada. The goal of SNAMP is to better understand how forest vegetation treatments to prevent wildfire affect fire risk, wildlife, forest health and water and to involve the public in adaptive management of our public forests.
