Background:

Reason for Recommendation:
Public utility easements, as shown on the Woodleigh Heights Unit 2 final map recorded in Book I of Subdivision Maps at Page 2, were irrevocably offered in perpetuity to the County of El Dorado in April of 1998 and the Board of Supervisors accepted said offer in May of 1998.

An application has been submitted by James C. Urquhart and Linda J. Urquhart, requesting that the County of El Dorado Board of Supervisors vacate one ten-foot wide and two five-foot wide public utility easements located along the rear and side boundary lines of Lot 7, also identified as Assessor’s Parcel Number 116-680-07, and being more particularly described in Exhibit A and depicted in Exhibit B of the attached Resolution.

The subject property is located on Schelin Court, west of Cambridge Road and north of US Highway 50, in Cameron Park. Said action is necessary to accommodate planned construction of improvements on the subject lot.

All utility companies that may possibly be impacted by this vacation have supplied the Department of Transportation with written notification that they have no objection to the proposed abandonment and have no facilities within the subject area. All other existing easements will remain. The Department of Transportation’s staff has reviewed the request and has no objection.
