DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

In December 2017 the Clerk of the Board published a notice of vacancy for the sole Member At-Large position on the Fish and Game Committee and as a result of receiving two applications, the Clerk of the Board engaged a Committee Application Review Team (CART).  Upon review of the applications, the CART recommend Stephen Horan as the more qualified applicant.

 

The CART consisted of:

Creighton Avila, Deputy Chief Administrative Officer

Charlene Carveth, Agricultural Commissioner / Seal of Weights and Measures

Jim Mitrisin, Clerk of the Board of Supervisors

 

ALTERNATIVES

The Board may appoint the other applicant, Theodor Dziuba or provide direction to the CART to take other action.

It is recommended that the Board approve this item.
