DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
District Attorney’s Office recommends the Board approve this agreement as LexisNexis is an essential tool allowing prosecutors in the District Attornye's Office to conduct in-depth case law research, including prior case histories, rulings and statutes with relevant case law. The District Attorney's Office has been using LexisNexis since April of 2006 and the current contract expires on March 31, 2018. In addition to this service, the District Attorney’s Office will also be utilizing on-line jury instructions that will provide attorneys with up-to-date instructions to utilize for jury trials.
