DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION: 

Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) recommending the Board respectfully accept the distribution of $31,147.32 from the Carl R. Locher and Katherine A. Locher Trust to County of El Dorado Animal Shelter Pet Aid Fund.

 

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND:

The Carl R. Locher and Katherine A. Locher Trust has named the County of El Dorado Animal Shelter Pet Aid Fund as a beneficiary.  As such, under the terms of the Trust, the County of El Dorado Animal Shelter Pet Aid Fund is entitled to receive $31,147.32 from the Trust.

 

The County of El Dorado Pet Aid Fund was developed in 1993 as a way for donated monies to be used to help pay for emergency and routine veterinary services, special food, medication, blankets, and like matters to care for animals awaiting adoption at the Animal Shelter. 

 

ALTERNATIVES:

The Board may direct HHSA to decline the distribution.

CAO RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the Board approve this item.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

There is no Net County Cost associated with this Agenda item.
