DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
Surveyor's Office recommending the Board adopt a Resolution of Vacation for Abandonment of Easement (AOE) 18-004 to abandon a public utility easement on Lot 150 of "Oak Tree Village - No. 4", recorded at Book G of Subdivisions at Page 113, identified as Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 125-623-05, requested by the owners, Gregory N. Tornberg and Stephanie D. Tornberg.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
A request has been submitted by Gregory N. Tornberg and Stephanie D. Tornberg, owner of APN 125-623-05, requesting that the County of El Dorado, Board of Supervisors, vacate a public utility easement located on the subject property. Said easement is more particularly described in Exhibit A, and depicted on Exhibit B of the attached Resolution.

The public utility easement, as shown on Lot 150 of "Oak Tree Village - No. 4", recorded at Book G of Subdivisions at Page 113 was offered to the County of El Dorado by, Oak Tree Village Joint Ventures, a California General Partnership, on June 22, 1988. The easement was acknowledged and accepted by the County of El Dorado on October 18, 1988 and the Subdivision Map recorded on October 20, 1988.

ALTERNATIVES
An alternative would be to not adopt a Resolution of Vacation for Abandonment of Easement 18-004. By utilizing this alternative, the owner of Assessor's Parcel 125-623-05, would be unable to purse any development that would impact this easement.

OTHER DEPARTMENT / AGENCY INVOLVEMENT
AT&T, Comcast, El Dorado Irrigation District and Pacific Gas & Electric have not used said easement for the purpose for which it was dedicated and find no present or future need exists for subject easement and do ...
