DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
Community Development Services, Department of Transportation (Transportation), recommending the Board consider the following:
1) Award Request for Proposal (RFP) 18-961-032 for the provision of services for an Engineering Consultant on the Diamond Springs Parkway Project (Project), CIP 72334, to the successful proposer Aptim Environmental & Infrastructure, Inc.;
2) Authorize Transportation to negotiate an Agreement for Services (Agreement) with the successful proposer, with a term of three years and a not-to-exceed amount of $300,000; and
3) Direct the Department of Transportation to return to the Board with the results of the negotiations and proposed contract for services.

Staff is also recommending the Board make findings that it is more economical and feasible to engage an outside consultant to assist the County with environmental remediation of the former lime plant site that is located within the Project’s footprint in accordance with Ordinance 3.13.040.
