REASON FOR RECOMMENDATION: At the request of Department of Transportation, the Procurement and Contracts division issued an Invitation to Bid for the purchase of an Asphalt Milling Machine.
Thirty-six (36) invitations to bid were mailed, none to local vendors. One (1) qualified response was received. The submitted bid is attached for your review.
FISCAL IMPACT/CHANGE TO NET COUNTY COST: Procurement and Contracts has been advised that funding is available within the Department of Transportation's budget. Road Fund.
ACTION TO BE TAKEN FOLLOWING APPROVAL: Following Board approval, the Procurement and Contracts division will issue a purchase order in the amount of $422,838.57 to Nixon-Egli Equipment Company of Tracy, CA.
