Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
This Agreement will increase revenue for the Transportation Department's (Department) Tahoe Engineering Division's Erosion Control Program. There is no net cost to the County General Fund associated with this agenda item.

Reason for Recommendation:
The subject Agreement provides for the transfer to El Dorado County (County) of 25% of the gross income from California Tahoe Conservancy (CTC) leases to private individuals or groups on lands owned by the CTC in the County. Pursuant to Government Code Section 66908.3, the CTC is authorized to lease acquired lands. When such lands are within the County and are leased to private individuals or groups, the CTC must transfer twenty-five percent (25%) of the gross income of the leases to the County each year. The subject Agreement is the mechanism that accomplishes this transfer. Pursuant to the Budget Act of 2006, Chapter 47-06, the Legislature has appropriated $3,867 to the CTC for transfer to the County as private lease revenue for this fiscal year.
