Title
Supervisor Nutting recommending the Board consider reducing the permit and environmental fees for Beverley Hebert, a senior citizen on a limited income.

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: Uncertain at this time.
Body
Background:
Mrs. Beverly Hebert, now widowed, discovered during the recent hardship sale of her home that permit fees were not acquired by her husband.  The El Dorado County Assessor's Office has continued to appropriately assess the home prior, during and after the improvements were made, but because of a change in policy did not communicate the improvements to the Building Department until recently.

Mrs. Hebert requests that the permit fees be prorated at the 1983 costs when the improvements were made to the home, and, sincerely apologizes on behalf of her deceased husband, and herself, that she was unaware of the issue.  This request is made with some urgency as she is moving to a senior living facility and must take care of the sale of her home at a tremendous loss if the current permit fees are applied.

Action to be taken following Board approval: Direct Development Services and Environmental Management reduce the appropriate fees.
