DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

El Dorado County Office of Education is the Fiscal Agent for the First 5 California IMPACT Grant, which supports High 5 for Quality and requires professional services to provide the Early Literacy on the Move program for child care providers and Alternative Sites consistent with First 5 California IMPACT guidelines.

The Library Department has two agreements with the El Dorado County Office of Education to provide the Early Literacy on the Move Program. This item consolidates the two agreements into one agreement that will expire on June 30, 2020.

Agreement #168-O1811 provides funding for supplies to be given to child care providers who are participating in the Early Literacy on the Move Program.

Agreement #281-F1811 provides funding for professional services to provide the Early Literacy on the Move Program to child care providers.

Amendment I to Agreement #281-F1811 incorporates the $26,000 funding for supplies provided in Agreement #168-O1811 into Agreement #281-F1811 and will automatically terminate Agreement #168-O1811.

Amendment I to Agreement #281-F1811 also increases the total of the agreement by an additional $10,000 for a new not-to-exceed amount of $180,000.
