Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: No change.

The amount of federal and state funds payable by the State to El Dorado County under this Contract is $1,215,025.  This funding is included in the Department's FY 2009-10 Budget Request.

 

Reason for Recommendation:

Contract AP-0910-29 provides $1,215,025 in federal and state funding for provision of Older Americans Act and Older Californian’s Act senior services during FY 2009-10.  These services are designed to improve the lives of seniors age 60 and over and eligible disabled or at-risk adults residing in El Dorado County and to help them remain independent to the extent possible.  The resolution further authorizes the Area Agency on Aging Director, or successor, to administer Contract AP-0910-29 and execute subsequent documents relating to the contract, including amendments thereto, contingent upon approval by County Counsel and Risk Management, that do not affect the dollar amount or the term, and to sign required fiscal and programmatic reports.

 

Action to be taken following Board approval:

Board Clerk to provide Human Services at Briw Road with three (3) certified resolutions, three (3) full copies and three (3) cover pages of Contract AP-0910-29, and two (2) Contractor/Vendor Confidentiality Statements signed by the Chairman.

Human Services to distribute as appropriate and return one (1) fully executed copy to the Board Clerk.
