Chief Administrative Office recommending the Board approve the exercise of the third option for Lease Agreement 607-L0211 with Robert Earl Olson and Martha Waddell Olson in the amount of $1,396.83 per month commencing on June 1, 2009 through May 31, 2011 for the office space located at 415 Placerville Drive, Suite M & N in Placerville for the Health Services Department, Animal Services Administration Division, noting Lease payments will be adjusted on June 15, 2009 based on the Consumer Price Index in accordance to the above referenced lease.

The Health Services has informed General Services that they have included funds for this lease in their FY 2009-10 budget request along with an anticipated CPI increase.
Background:
The Health Services Department leases suites M & N at 415 Placerville Drive for the Animal Services administrative. Suites M & N have been leased under agreement 607-L0211 since June 2002.
Reason for Recommendation:
The current lease option is due to expire on May 31, 2009 and the Health Services Department has determined it is necessary to exercise the third option to extend this lease agreement. Upon approval by the Board this option will provide an additional 2 years commencing June 1, 2009 and ending May 31, 2011. The lease payments shall be $1,396.83 per month. On June 15, 2009 the lease payments will be adjusted based on the Consumer Price Index. Cost per square foot is $1.05.
