Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:There is no fiscal impact and no net cost to the County General Fund associated with this item.

Background: Your Board adopted the Resolution of Intent to Vacate on April 21, 2009, as Resolution #074-2009.

Reason for Recommendation: On September 18, 1990, the County rejected the Offer of Dedication for the streets, other public ways and drainage facilities shown on the final subdivision map which filed for record in Book H of Maps at page 30, of the El Dorado County Recorder’s office, however, said offer remains open in perpetuity until such time as the Board of Supervisors accepts said offer by Resolution. The subject roadways are located east of Latrobe Road and south of Golden Foothill Parkway, in El Dorado Hills, and are unconstructed roadways.
A T & T, Comcast, El Dorado Irrigation District and P G & E, have provided written communication indicating they do not have facilities in the subject area, that they have no plans for use in the future, and do not object to the proposed vacation.

The Department of Transportation has reviewed the General Vacation request and has determined that there are no plans to extend or expand said roadways and has no objection to said vacation, and requests that the Board conduct a public hearing for the Resolution of General Vacation on May 19, 2009 at 9:00 AM.

Action to be taken following Board approval:
1) The Resolution of Vacation and Quitclaim Deeds will be recorded.
2) Copies of the recorded Resolution of Vacation and the recorded Quitclaim Deeds will be mailed to the affected property owners.
