DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Jean T. and Stephen D. Myers established a fund at the El Dorado Community Foundation for the sole purpose of providing additional library services at the South Lake Tahoe library. The first distribution of $156,882 from the Foundation was accepted by the Board on April 3, 2018 and the "South Lake Tahoe Myers Trust" County Special Revenue Fund was created. Staff were hired, additional books were purchased, and the Library opened on Mondays on August 6, 2018.
The grand opening celebration of the new Monday hours is the week of December 3 to 8, 2018.
