DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

Surveyor's Office received an application from Forni Ranch LP, A California Limited Partnership, for a granting to El Dorado County, in fee title, a portion of  331-131-05 and a portion of  331-131-06. The granted portions of these parcels are identified in the Grant Deed exhibits as Tracts 1 and 2 on Exhibit A and shown on Exhibit B. This granting will provide benefit to the El Dorado Townsite Cemetery. The Forni’s are reserving easements for ingress and egress as described in the Grant Deed on Exhibit A-1 and shown on Exhibit B.

 

At the recording of this grant deed, there will be two remaining portions of the involved parcels. These parcels will need to be issued a clear Certificate of Compliance by the County Surveyor at the direction of the Board of Supervisors.

 

This project (GOV 18-0002) was heard and approved by the Planning Commission on March 8, 2018.

 

ALTERNATIVES

An alternative would be to not acknowledge and accept the Grant Deed.  By utilizing this alternative, no provision would be made for accessing the El Dorado Townsite Cemetery.

OTHER DEPARTMENT / AGENCY INVOLVEMENT

The Planning Department, County Counsel and Transportation Department has reviewed this project and supports the acceptance of this granting and the recordation of said Grant Deed and the issuance of a Certificate of Compliance on the remaining portions of aforementioned parcels.

CLERK OF THE BOARD FOLLOW UP ACTIONS

1) The Clerk of the Board will obtain the Chair’s signature on one (1) Certificate of Acceptance of Real Property.

2) The Clerk of the Board will return to the County Surveyor for further processing, the Grant Deed with the signed Certificate attached to the back of the document.
