Supervisor Briggs recommending Certificates of Recognition to Kira Akers, Heather Wilson, Micaela Brewer, Kate Carruth, Natalie Bresnahan, Allyson Olson, Sara Wroblewski and Kylie Smith, members of Girl Scout Troop #1480 from Cameron Park, for receiving their Bronze Awards (the highest award presented to a Junior Girl Scout).
The Junior Girl Scouts project involved the collection and recycling of bottles/cans, earning money to buy needed items for the El Dorado County Animal Shelter. In addition, these eight members of Troop #1480 volunteerd at the Animal Shelter, doing yard work and decorating the shelter for the May 2nd Adopt-aPet Day, each giving 15 hours of community service for their overall project.
