DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
On August 15, 2017, the Board appointed Supervisor Ranalli to serve on the State of California Tree Mortality Task Force. This was done in response to a request from the Governor that a member of the Board of Supervisors for each of the counties impacted by the State of Emergency due to the tree mortality caused by conditions of extreme drought and drought-related bark beetle infestations.
Meetings of the Tree Mortality Task Force occur on a monthly basis.
ALTERNATIVES
The Board could choose not to appoint a member to this task force resulting in El Dorado County not being represented at the meeting.
