Background:
On May 28, 1996, the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors approved Resolution No. 128-96 which increased the imprest change fund for the Recreation Department's Henningsen Lotus Park from fifty dollars ($50.00) to one hundred dollars ($100.00).

Reason for Recommendation:
On March 9, 2009 the Park Operations component of General Services was transferred to Environmental Management. As a result, the Environmental Management Department is now responsible for the imprest change fund for the Henningsen Lotus Park. When the fund was received from General Services, there was only eighty dollars ($80.00) in the fund resulting in a shortfall of twenty ($20.00) from the amount that was originally established per Resolution No. 128-96.

The Environmental Department is requesting that the Auditor-Controller be authorized to issue a check in the amount of twenty dollars ($20.00) to resolve the fund shortfall, and bring it to its authoirzed level of one hundred dollars ($100.00). The Environmental Management Department has established internal controls for the management of the fund to ensure the fund maintains the funding level as established by the Board of Supervisors.
