Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: This Amendment 4 to Agreement CTA-04033 provides incoming funding of $10,000 for Fiscal Year 09-10. No change to Net County cost.

Background: In 2005, the California Tahoe Conservancy (CTC) contracted with El Dorado County to provide animal control services to specific areas within the California Tahoe Conservancy boundaries. The original agreement has been amended three times to modify the scope of work, termination date, and/or maximum payment amount.

Agreement CTA-04033 with the State of California, Tahoe Conservancy, which became effective June 1, 2005, expires June 30, 2009. This Amendment 4 to that Agreement extends the term of the Agreement to June 30, 2010 and provides additional funding of $10,000 for FY 09-10, increasing the total not-to-exceed amount for the full term of the contract to $42,000.

Reason for Recommendation: Animal Services has effectively provided limited animal control services on behalf of California Tahoe Conservancy for the past four years. Amendment 4 extends the term of the existing contract for an additional year and provides additional funding of $10,000 for services to be provided in FY 09-10.
